For over ten years I've taught photography, digital photography, workflow and small-kit lighting at various workshops around the country. A partner in Blue Pixel, much of my recent time has been devoted to developing new projects and teaching Nikon School of Photography classes in cities across the U.S. I aso teach hands-on shooting workshops around the U.S. and the world.

Looking ahead to 2012, from April 23 to May 2, I'm going back to Peru, where we had a great trip in 2007 (www.packpaddleski.com). I also have a trip scheduled to China in May (www.mentorseries.com). And soon I should have some news on a couple of U.S. trips in 2012 (perhaps Oregon for one). And, looking far ahead, I'm planning return trips to the Galapagos (April?) and Tanzania (June?) in 2013, two of my favorite photo destinations. You can view photo galleries from past trips below.

There are many good sites for learning more about digital photography. My favorite is run by Canadian photojournalist and digital guru Rob Galbraith. It's jam-packed full of good information and has forums for discussing all aspects of digital photography. Another site with great digital tips is PixelZone, by another famous Canadian, Nick Didlick. Here are other favorites of mine, along with some software and manufacturer's sites.
